MINNESOTA WILD SIGNS CENTER TODD WHITE
Recently Acquired C Signs Multi-Year Deal

    SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) team has signed center Todd White to a multi-year contract.

White was acquired by Minnesota in a trade with the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a fourth round pick (95th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft on July 30, 2005. The 5-foot-10, 194-pound native of Kanata, Ontario, played in 53 games for Ottawa in 2003-04 and tallied 29 points (9-20=29), including two game-winning goals. In 2002-03, the 30-year-old (5/21/75) set personal career highs for goals (25), assists (35) and points (60) while skating in 80 games.

A veteran of seven NHL seasons, White has played in 276 NHL games and has recorded 159 career points (65-94=159). Originally signed as an un-drafted free agent by Chicago prior to the 1997-98 season, White has played with Chicago, Philadelphia and Ottawa.

As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
